The Water Board of the County of Hawaii

The Water Board consists of nine members representing each of the nine (9) council districts of the County of Hawaii. Each is appointed by the Mayor and approved by the County Council for a five (5) year term. The Manager of the Department of Water Supply, the Director of Public Works, and the Planning Director serve as exofficio members who do not have the power to vote.
The Water Board normally meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Please call 808-961-8050 for more details or check the Board Schedule page for locations and times.

District 1- Hamakua, North Hilo, and portions of South Hilo (Hakalau, Honomu, Pepeekeo, and Kaiwiki).

District 2 – South Hilo (Amaulu, Puueo, portions of Downtown Hilo, Lanakila, Waianuenue, Kaumana, Ainako, Piihonua, and portions of Waiakea Homesteads).

District 3 – South Hilo (Waiakea Homesteads, Waiakea-Uka), and Puna (Keaau).

District 4 – South Hilo (Keaukaha, Panaewa, Waiakea Houselots, portions of Downtown Hilo, University and portions of Waiakea Homesteads.

District 5 – Lower Puna (Hawaiian Paradise Park, Orchidland, Ainaloa, PahoaVillage, Hawaiian Beaches & Shores, Nanawale, Leilani, Kapoho, Kalapana and Opihikao).

District 6 – Puna (Kurtistown, Mt. View, Volcano), Ka’u (Pahala Naalehu, HOVE), and South Kona (Milolii, Hookena, and portions of Honaunau).

District 7 – South Kona (portions of Honaunau, Captain Cook, Kealakekua), and North Kona (Kainaliu, Keauhou, Kahaluu, and Holualoa).

District 8 – North Kona (Kailua-Kona, Kealakehe, Kalaoa, and Puuanahulu).

District 9 – North and South Kohala (Waikoloa, Waimea, Hawi, and Halaula).
