Wai‘ōhinu-Nā‘ālehu Water Restriction Notice issued
AFFECTED AREAS: NĀ‘ĀLEHU, WAI‘ŌHINU, DISCOVERY HARBOUR, MARK TWAIN
SUBDIVISION, GREEN SANDS SUBDIVISION AND SOUTH POINT
ROAD AREA; KA‘Ū, HAWAI‘I
Effective immediately, the Department of Water Supply’s (DWS) Essential Water Use Only Notice for affected customers is cancelled and in its place DWS has issued a Water Restriction Notice for all Department of Water Supply customers in the affected areas. A Water Restriction Notice requires affected customers to reduce water use by at least 25 percent.
Water restriction measures are necessary to maintain adequate water levels in the storage tanks while DWS continues repairs to its water infrastructure damaged by Hurricane Lala. DWS asks customers to use water wisely and not waste it.
